Our site is an ideal affordable accommodation base for UK and European travellers (April–October). By day explore Loch Awe’s 25‑mile length or Glencoe’s Munros; by evening hop Oban’s 45‑minute ferry to Mull (and nearby Iona). Even camping near Ben Cruachan is an option this 1,124 m (3,689 ft) peak towers above Loch. After adventure, unwind in comfort – your cozy Highland retreat awaits.

How far is this from Oban or the train?
We’re just 10 miles north of Oban on the scenic A85 (about a 15-minute drive). Taynuilt village has a train station on the West Highland Line so getting here is easy. We provide maps and can share train schedules if needed.
What’s included in the Tents?
Think of it as a little cosy house. You get a private en-suite bathroom with off grid shower, fresh linens, a fully stocked kitchen ( Cool Box, utensils, gas stove, crockery, etc.), solar lighting, plus a wood burning stove ( firewood available for purchase ). In short – everything you need.
Is it adults-only? Can I bring kids or a pet?
Well-behaved kids are welcome, but keep in mind each tent only sleeps a maxium of two people. We are not dog-friendly (there’s is near by live stock).
What does “off-grid” mean?
Off-grid glamping means stepping away from the modern world—no mains electricity or running water—while still enjoying key comforts of home. You’ll have a warm, comfortable bed and a thoughtfully equipped space, offering a simple, peaceful stay without sacrificing comfort.
