Wake up to Ben Cruachan. Step outside to your private seating area. By tonight, you could be watching the sun set over Loch Etive from a chair with your name on it.
Daley Croft is a small family-run glamping site in Taynuilt, Argyll just 10 miles from Oban and perched on the edge of some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. Three cosy bell tents and a quirky caravan, all tucked into a working croft with mountain views, real log fires, and a level of detail that our guests tend to notice.

The best of both worlds
At Daley Croft, every tent has been put together so you can have wild days and cosy nights without any compromise. Log burner, soft bed, private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen — everything ready and waiting when you get back from the hills.
We’re 10 miles from Oban on the A85, with Taynuilt station right on the doorstep, so ferries, Munros and island day trips are all within easy reach.
And when you return, you’ll have peace, warmth and starry skies all to yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far are you from Oban and the train station? We’re 10 miles from Oban — about a 15-minute drive on the A85. Taynuilt village has its own station on the West Highland Line, so you don’t need a car to get here. Drop us a message before you arrive and we’ll send over directions and train times.
Can I bring children or a dog? Well-behaved children are very welcome. Each tent sleeps a maximum of two people though, so they’re best suited to couples or solo travellers. We’re not able to accept dogs, as we have livestock on the croft — but we do know a few good dog-friendly places nearby if you need a recommendation.
What’s included in the bell tents? Think of it as a cosy wee home for the week. You get a proper bed with fresh linen, a log burning stove, solar lighting, your own private bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen — gas stove, cool box, pots, pans, crockery, the lot. Firewood is available to buy on site.
What does “off-grid” actually mean? No mains electricity or running water — but you won’t miss either. The tents are lit by solar, heated by a wood burner, and stocked with fresh water. The caravan is fully connected to mains if that’s more your style.

Testimonial 1: “We had a really lovely stay in the tent before doing 2 local munros. The bed was really comfy, the log burner was great and kept us warm in the evening. We were really impressed with the array of cooking and cleaning equipment — Daniel and Paige have thought of everything. Would definitely recommend.” — Airbnb guest
Testimonial 2: “Situated on a farm next to a stream, the sound of running water and rain on the caravan were so peaceful. Went glamping instead of camping and so grateful we did. We will be back!” — Airbnb guest
Testimonial 3: “Daniel was very reassuring when we asked about the storm and our concerns, and as a result we relaxed amidst the mayhem. For those wishing a glamping experience, this is the place for you. Close to Oban, easy to find and a great place to stay.” — Airbnb guest
